The team

Darshan M. is an electrical engineer who has always loved mathematics and physics. Much of that interest comes from engineering.

Over the past 10 years Darshan has taught more than 800 students and delivered more than 10,000 hours of online instruction to students in the United States. Alongside teaching, Darshan creates worksheets, runs a YouTube channel and builds courses on Udemy.

The goal of that content is simple: to make good teaching available to more students, including those who may not be able to take private lessons.

Holds doctoral and master's level education in business, finance, statistics and economics. Has been tutoring and consulting privately for close to fifteen years.

Aims to be a mentor and a role model for his students, preparing them through one to one lessons for both academic and professional life.

Born in Lisbon and a native Portuguese speaker. He read Business Management at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, took a post-graduate degree in Information Systems at Universidade Aberta, and holds a trainer certification from the Portuguese National Employment Ministry.

The first part of his career was spent in logistics, finance and enterprise systems: ERP rollouts (MS Dynamics and SAP), supply chains and international consulting projects. The Chartered Accountant title and the SAP and Microsoft certifications come from that period.

He brings that background to the lesson. He is used to taking a complex system apart; instead of asking a student to memorise a rule, he shows why the rule works that way. Active in Portugal, Brazil and Turkey.

I originally wanted to be a mathematician. During my computer engineering studies, I came to see that mathematics is the foundational building block of engineering: that a good engineer must first be a good mathematician. The same path led me to physics: Newton developed calculus to describe motion, and mechanics is its most natural application. That is why I also teach AP Physics C: Mechanics to my Calculus students. The desire to pass this realization on to the next generation led me to found my own academic center in 2008; I have been teaching ever since, for twenty years.

Over the years I have learned one clear thing: in crowded classrooms, students' cognitive perception and learning decline. In groups of no more than three, results improve dramatically. I built ITMagic Academy on this principle: not a classroom, but a measured path built for each student. I bring my engineering experience and a carefully built network of former students and industry professionals to bear on each student's path: career perspective is part of this work, alongside the lesson itself.

Every student begins with a thirty-minute complimentary introductory meeting: we gather data, analyze the current situation together, and set a realistic target. Then we agree on a schedule: for every hour they spend with me, they commit to two hours of focused independent study. I provide the structure; discipline is the student's.

After completing my degree in Sociology at Anadolu University, I earned a master's degree and further training at Çukurova and Mersin Universities, and worked for nearly eighteen years as a guidance teacher in private schools.

Along the way I completed many trainings on how students learn, with quantum learning and Characterix among them. I believe every student has far more capacity than they think, and that the right study habits make it visible.

Today I live in İzmir and work independently in education. I help students build steady study habits around their exam goals and will be glad to be part of that journey with you.
